How do I refinish a canoe paddle. I have no experience. Can I use linseed oil?

We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.

Richard, just sand the area down good & spray them with some good quality polyurethane that was probably the original finish. The folks at the Haynes Hardware there on Morningside can take care of what you need. Linseed oil will soak in, not put a hard finish on it.
