had a great day on the river. Six people in the raft. Jon in his boat and Cowper in his got some trash and three tires. we lost two hats but recovered them Jon thought he lost his, we looked everywhere, he later found it as he was sitting on it. Elene got ejected from the raft when we hit a big rock and lost hers but a guy had a diving mask and found it underwater trapped against the rock we hit. fun times for all. ate at the ozark cafe in Jasper and headed home....Pam

Did you notice the Ozark Cafe isn't the same place we all enjoyed in the past?

What happened to it? It's still getting good reviews on tripadvisor.

New owners. They have taken things off the menu. The green beans that used to be made there were like granny's. They had bacon and little bit of seasonings. They were the best. Whats there now blah. Service was ssssllloooowwww. Don't want ya thinking i'm the find the wrong in everything type. We've ate at the Ozark many times in the last ten years and was always pleased with the food and service until recently.

I think it's still a decent place but for those of us who've been going for years, the change is disappointing. When the usual locals quite showing up for breakfast, you'll know it's gone totally downhill.

I've only been eating there the last couple of years but agree the service is slow and the food is just okay. Has anyone eaten at the place just up the road (can't recall the name) that advertises the elk sausages, etc.? Always wonder about that place when I'm up there. Low Gap Cafe is great, but if you're in a hurry or starving it's not the place to go.
You come too.

The elk sausage place is a good place to sleep but if your hungry it's pricey. We've heard good about Low Gap too. Lookin like we will be doing a overnight this weekend on the Buffalo so we might give it a try. The gas station at Marble has a lot going on in the food section.

The burger I had was pretty good, but the service was a little slow.
I didn't know they were under new ownership.
