Little Missouri Wednesday July 8

The Little Missouri will be releasing Monday thru Friday at 3 P.M.this week according to the SWEPCO spreadsheet. Mitch and I have decided to do a trip on Wednesday. The plan is to be ready to shuttle from the put-in at 3 P.M. The release is only 2 hours long, but that should still allow for endless play opportunities. The put-in is Riverside Park, which is about 5 miles North of Murfreesboro on highway 19. Post if your coming. BOB

What's this river like? My daughter and I are in NE Arkansas and I'm ok up to about a 3-3+ I don't think she'd ready for more than a 2 or so. Planned on doing Spring River today but looking at radar going to change our plans. Thanks.

Jill, The Little Missouri Is a delightful Class II gem, that consists of many long wave trains that are great on a hot day. There is one bigger rapid that I would rate as class II+ or III-. I hope you can join us. BOB

Swepco kept their promise and released 2400cfs at 3p.m. Four of us enjoyed a hot day on the cool water. I will post another trip for next week over the weekend. BOB
