Remmel to Rockport Float on Saturday.

I'm thinking about making my first trip of the season from Remmel Dam down to the WW Park this Saturday. Will probably meet at the WW Park boat ramp area about noon to consolidate boats before heading up to the put-in.

* IF it should rain enough Friday night to bring the Upper Caddo back up to the 5.75ft range, or higher, I will probably head there instead. I will check the gauge reading early Sat. morning and post any changes.

Where is the meeting place/launch for Caddo? If it isn't really far from Jacksonville, I'm game.

The Hwy 70 bridge over the Caddo at Glenwood is the meeting place, under the West end by the campground. I can be over there about 10:30 to meet any interested parties.

Another nice day was had on the Upper Caddo yesterday! Six of us floated from The Narrows down to Glenwood with a water level of 5.70ft. by put-in time. This was also another good weekend for my outfitter friends up there, so much so that our group decided we needed to park down at the Game & Fish access at the cemetery since the campground was jam-packed with vehicles. The river was pretty turbid from the previous evenings rain, rather than it's usual clear state.
Thanks to each of you for coming along, especially Jill who drove so far to get here Maybe the rains will continue so we may yet make another trip shortly, I think I will try and hold out for a six foot or over trip next time.
