Just really continues to be a wonderful thing to see how the Ford [Siloam Springs Kayak Park] is being used.

Agree, excellent use, and we're all lucky to have the WW park. But I have a question. Arkansas just announced that about 19 or so swimming areas are now closed due to E.Coli contamination. Included are Lake Weddington, Leatherwood and many others. Anyone know if the Illinois at the park gets tested, and is OK? The statewide problem is due to all the recent extreme runoff.

Good question. I sent your question to the city and invited them to response. 50/50 chance.

Went out to the park again around 5pm, and noticed training was over...and the opposite of safety had begun in full force. They're HEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRE!!!

Two more carloads of non-PFD swimmers arrived as I left.

Sucks to be hoping for a river to fall. But I guess folks that don't paddle, and have experienced flooding, have been hoping for a month. -M- :(

Tubers or Fishermen, that is our choices....My experience is the Tubers kinda run off the Fishermen better than the Paddlers do "But" we are left with a bunch of Tubers. Is there anything that deters Tubers? Moth Balls maybe....
My Favorite River is the one that I'm paddling.
