Caddo tomorrow 5/23

Post by AR-Nimrod » Fri May 22, 2015 8:27 am

Level should be around 6'+ which is ample for a Narrows to Glenwood run. Or the AGFC put in at Caddo Gap to Glenwood. Chance of rain is currently only 20% with a high of 83*. So who's in?

I gotta stick around this weekend but Ms. Crystal just asked me if anyone was floating this weekend. I'll let her know about this one.
You come too.

Hey Chris,

I had thought about coming tomorrow but am leaning toward taking a pass and work on some things here this weekend. I hope you all have a great time, the water should be real decent tomorrow!

Best Regards
Jim

Hey Jim. Was hoping you and/or some of the other Caddo regulars would join in.

Chris,

Based on the current hydrograph, the Narrows to Glenwood, or Swinging Bridge put-in ought to be good. So far it sounds like' just you, and girls gone wild' I know you will all have a good time, please do send a report later.

Best Regards
Jim

Yeah. Looks like I'm the only one man enough to paddle with these ladies.

There is some rain in the area tonight so we could see a rise on the river, I'm gonna watch gauges periodically. Check back in the morning to be sure we aren't flooded out.

What a wonderful day yesterday. Weather was very nice and the river was at a very nice level, pools moving well. :kayak: 6 of us put in at the AGFC Swinging Bridge landing and took out a the AGFC Trestle Landing behind the cemetery in Glenwood. Lots of renters on the river yesterday. There was absolutely no place to park under the bridge yesterday morning, which is why we opted for the Trestle Landing for take out. A very enjoyable day with great companions. Always a pleasure to paddle with Pat and Minna. Hung out for the third weekend in a row with Crystal (asked her if she was stalking me :shifty: :poke2: ). Good to paddle with Mark and Wayne again (first time this year though). Some definite changes to the river due to the last flood. Followed it up with a fantastic meal at the Rocky Mtn. Grill in Pearcy. As we were leaving RMG Crystal wanted to know where she was stalking me next weekend :wht: . Told her all depended on the rain and left it at that :shh: .

Great Trip Report Chris!

I'm glad you all had a good weather and water level day yesterday. I figured the outfitters would be having a 'big feast' day, which is very good, but not having any parking space really does indicate how many folks were out on the river. Glad you all enjoyed supper, that place is hard to beat on the way home :D

Best Regards
Jim
