Hailstone?

Post by Prairie Tater » Mon May 11, 2015 8:00 pm

Some Mizzou boys are going to try and catch the Hailstone tomorrow (Tuesday) if its not too low. All Tuesday slackers are invited to join. We should be at Boxley bridge around 9:00. Plan "B" is probably Hurricane (Newton).

Yeah, you're right Paddledog. It's dropping like a rock. Looks like plan "B".

John G. & I had a great run on Hurricane today. Put on about noon...level was about 7'. I've ran this jewel about a half a dozen times, and this was by far the best level. Pretty much continuous class II/II+. :kayak: :canoe:

Ty, we put in at Cub creek and parked in the lone parking spot there. The only person we saw was the rural carrier who stopped and talked for a while. John & I had the creek to ourselves. BTW, although there were a couple of tree limbs which we had to skirt, there were no log jams to portage around. Everything was open.
