What a nice day on the Caddo today! We had eleven folks in kayaks today, and at a level of about 5.50 feet this morning, we elected to float the Glenwood to Amity section. It was my first trip on the section this year and it was very nice, a pretty good level and no major strainers. Along the way, we had some good views of an eagle that just kept a bit ahead of us, several ducks, and an osprey downriver in the last couple of miles.

I hate that we missed this float, especially since the wildlife was stirring. It was probably for the best though; I managed to get a lot of yard work and such done that has needed to be accomplished for some time now. Sure hope to see you again soon, Jim. We really enjoyed the last float with you. Keep posting trips as they arise, and maybe we can manage the next one. The Caddo is always such a beautiful float, especially with great friends such as you and Marlo. I've already warned Wayne: When the rivers are flowin' and the friends are goin'...I'm outta here.
