Summer job opportunity - River Guide

Post by Richard » Sat Apr 18, 2015 6:22 pm

I am a volunteer with Quapaw Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. We have a 50 mile, five day, four night, Buffalo/White River canoe trip we do each of the six weeks of summer camp for scouts ages 14 and above. We are looking for river guides to lead these trips who have recreation management skills

Requirements include Canoeing, Swimming, Lifesaving and First Aid skills. Applicant must be age 18 or above, preferably 21 and older.

We would like the trip leader to be available beginning June 1. He will join other staff to float the Buffalo-White route. Staff week is June 7-13. Employment concludes on July 26. Interview will be held in Conway and/or Little Rock. If schedules allow, we would like to send the leader to camp and wilderness first aid schools at camp expense. Pay is commensurate with age and experience. Interested parties may email me at QBuffalo@gmail.com, Subject: BSA Staff.

Thank you,
Richard McFadden
