Regarding School of River Paddling

Noah is finally old enough (and mature enough) to take the School of River Paddling in June. It looked as though it would work perfectly for the school schedule until all of this crazy snow hit. Friday is now our last day which will probably be followed by much paperwork. I know that there is a 7:00 evening meeting on that Friday. We would be arriving much later than that. Here's my question. Would arriving late be acceptable, or would we be better off to try for another year? I don't want him to miss important information, but (as a teacher), I can't play hooky on my students' last day either. Advice?
