Cossatot River Deer Camp Takeout

Hello Cossatot Paddlers: As most of you know the State Park has purchased the property that we have always known as Deer Camp. Over the past paddling season the rangers at the Cossatot have worked with us in an attempt to open the gates to that property to allow us to take out at the Deer Camp to avoid having to paddle to the take out at the visitor center. They have been doing this on a per request basis when the river is up. Due to the increased use/rental of that property for specific events, the staff at the park has indicated that going forward it will be necessary for paddlers to rent that facility on a daily basis to gain access to it for use as a takeout. A daily rental of $35 would also give you the ability to camp there as well. If you are interested in renting the facility for use as a takeout or camping please contact the park office at 870-385-2201.
