It's supposed to stop raining around noon and warm up into the low 60's in the mid afternoon. Sun doesn't set until 7:20.
Anyone wanna meet at the US65 Bridge Cadron take out around 4pm and get a run in? I would do upper or lower.
My crv can put an extra boat on top or haul up to 4 passengers.

Jay,
The upper trip is the one I'd pick for later afternoon trips. Both sections are a ton of fun, however the lower section is long enough that I always want to actually get on the river by noon. With stops along, I only seem to average about two miles per hour, whether on the Upper Caddo, or the Buffalo, or the Cadron Creek. The lower stretch has just the best views on the river and I don't want to rush past them too fast.
Best Regards
Jim

You are right - 10 mi racing against day light does not sound like the best time. Especially because I've only ever been on the upper!

I would be interested in a Friday run. Have not done the Cadron at all but want to try it.

Great. Let's plan to be in weather-appropriate clothing at the take out (HWY65 bridge access just N of greenbriar) at 5pm. The put-in is on the side of a road so I've always changed into my gear first at the take out and then drove to the put in.
Edit: meeting changed to 5pm.
