Awesome! That makes me feel much better. I'll get my forms filled and sent in then!
I'm down!

Sparky, what's your 20? If you're in central you can go to the UALR pool and get lots of help. There are other pool sessions elsewhere.
You come too.

I'm live in little rock. I'm gonna go to the pool I'm waiting for it to be open again.

Re: UPDATE REGISTRATION DATE FOR 2015 SWWP
Cool! Generally open Wednesday nights and Saturdays provided there's not a swim meet or inclement weather. Lately it seems we've had to deal with both. I plan to bring my daughter at least a couple of times between now and WW school. Hope to meet you soon.Sparky88 wrote:I'm live in little rock. Re: UPDATE REGISTRATION DATE FOR 2015 SWWP
Just FYI, you might see "Register" buttons available for the next few days if you are exploring on the website, but it is only to do test registrations for us to finalize the process. "Real" registration will not happen until March 2 as Marcell announced.
Just didn't want anyone to get too excited and try to register (you won't be able to without a code during this test phase), but just so you know!
Getting close!

Re: UPDATE REGISTRATION DATE FOR 2015 SWWP
Howdy,
So I wanted to ask this question before registration opens to make sure I'm planning on registering for the right course. I've been looking at the SWWP because I want to learn how to do whitewater kayaking. I have no prior experience in whitewater. I do have a fair amount of experience paddling calm river that would be class 1 at best. I have more experience in sea kayaking and teach kayaking for the University of Nebraska-Omaha outdoor program so I am fairly confident in my general kayaking skills. After reading the descriptions I thought that the School of River Paddling would probably be somewhat remedial for me but I wanted to make sure that the the SWWP allowed for complete beginners to WW.
Cheers,
Donald

Re: UPDATE REGISTRATION DATE FOR 2015 SWWP
Yes, Donald. Complete beginners are allowed at the SWWP and, typically, students with minimal skills make up a large part of the classes. The school is, after all, for learning paddling. The skills assessment that's part of the registration process will assure that you're grouped, as much as possible, with similarly skilled individuals.Dschmit39 wrote:Howdy,

Re: REGISTRATION FOR 2015 SWWP NOW OPEN
I've recently joined the ACC, mailed in the forms and paid the $90 for the SWWP. At what point should I expect confirmation? Looking forward to meeting other paddlers and learning the good stuff!
Re: REGISTRATION FOR 2015 SWWP NOW OPEN
Not sure when you'll get confirmation, but you'll have a blast and learn alot. Last year was my first, and is on my calendar from now on.-M-

Re: REGISTRATION FOR 2015 SWWP NOW OPEN
I know my first time, I did worry too wondering about a confirmation, but you shouldn't worry. After they close registration and divvy up the groups and assign to instructors, the instructor will call you. That can feel like a long time, but mainly, I wouldn't worry.bushwhacker5150 wrote:I've recently joined the ACC, mailed in the forms and paid the $90 for the SWWP. Re: REGISTRATION FOR 2015 SWWP KAYAK IS CLOSED
Question, I know sometimes people have to bow out of going last minute for this, is there anyway to be put on a list to be called if someone does, I forgot to sign up for Kayak WW class because of allot of things going on in my personal life.
