Hi Folks,

Just a reminder, this weekend we will be re-roofing Jon Kennedy's Family's home.

We will be beginning on Friday Morning and working till it is done (hopefully sometime Sunday)
Even if you don't have prior roofing experience, please join us and help! All Hands On Deck..
We need everyone to make things happen, all three days or just one, we are grateful for any and all assistance.

Looks like there is a pretty good chance for rain Friday and Saturday. Is the plan just to nail to the existing roof or is the plan to strip the old stuff off and then put down the new?

HI Benji,
Thanks for your willingness to help on this! It's great seeing how many folks are willing to give their time and effort to make this work.
As for your question, thankfully we have a very diverse group of folks in the club including a couple of roofers who will be bringing LARGE tarps. The house design is in sections, which will allow for doing the work in segments if necessary. It is going to be a tear off and re-roof. We know the forecast isn't ideal, but unless it is a non-stop deluge, we will continue onward.

In spite of the rain in the forecast, we are going to do as much as we reasonably can. If we get rained out, we will just continue later. Jon's father is in town from Ohio with supplies and equipment, Tyson has donated chicken, a club member has donated funds for additional food for workers, we do need a grilling/food managing person still.
