Re: Pre-Vous Lil Mo Trip (9/12)
Here's the plan from my end:
There's a chance for more rain in the wee overnight hours in the SW part of the state, so I will post the final destination at about 6:30am on Friday. Liz and I will still plan to roll out of Little Rock at 7:30am regardless.
If the Cossatot gets another nudge overnight, we could go there.
If the Little Missouri upper watershed gets another nudge overnight, we could do the Hwy 84 section. Anyone who was considering the Lil Mo dam release: the Hwy 84 section would be just a little more challenging, but still a great class II run, and we will show you the lines and help you out. I would say that if this section is going and if there's the most interest in doing this, this is where we will go. Very cool, beautiful section. However, do note it's a longer run - close to 11 miles.
For whatever destination: please keep in mind the temps are expected to be cooler on Friday, and it's likely to be overcast for much of the morning as it'll fog up overnight, so you will want a warmer layer at least for your top, and/or a warm long sleeve dry layer in a dry bag.
Again - we'll just see in the morning. We may all end up as originally planned at the Narrows, or there could end up being a few different groups with different destinations. My hope is that anyone interested in the dam release run might want to move up above the dam for the Hwy 84 run...but we will need another round of rain to move through overnight.
Oh: and Clay, I'm so sorry that you think words I type on a computer can change the course of meteorological events. Especially when we all know the real reason nothing natural flow will run tomorrow is because it's the only weekday in months that I have been able to get out of work.

I've heard that into every life a little of it must fall,
but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.

Re: Pre-Vous Lil Mo Trip (9/12)
Sorry to hear about that Beth!
We are going to stick with ORIGINAL plan for Narrows dam. We'll check the board again when we are en route. As per original post, we can pick up drivers or consolidate at 9:30 at take out.
Be prepared for rain...good chance we'll be in precipitation on the river...unfortunately not quite enough has fallen further north in the watersheds.
PLEASE POST IF YOU ARE COMING...IF NO ONE POSTS, WE MAY CHANGE PLANS ON THE FLY!
501. 681 . 2993 if you need to reach me...unlikely I will pick up before 7:45am.

Water was already big and muddy at Narrows per Wally. We are re-routing to hwy 84 in hopes enough water there!
