Another bonus for chefs: We'll have a propane blaster for fast chimney-started charcoal. Much better'n newspaper and lots less smoke.

Note: each entrant will be responsible for monitoring his/her fire and taking care of coals afterwards. We will make that easy, of course. Fire pans of some sort are a must to keep coals off ground or concrete surfaces.There is water very near the cooking area.

You've got a month to perfect those recipes. Get cooking!

Charcoal provided, Dutch Oven's provided if needed. No excuses get your D. O. on. You can carry your dish over to the pot luck after you win :) See you in 10 days and counting. Judging at 6 p.m. on Saturday the 13th. Start cooking when ever you want at the pavilion right by the main building. All dishes cooked on site, you can chop and dice at home if needed.
