As you might be able to tell by the name, I am not so much looking for the awesome rapids and paddling, although I've run my share and just about any pretty girl can talk me into going again, I'm mainly looking for some laid back fishin spots. I would really like to fish on the Illinois Bayou north of the dam but south of the Hwy 7 bridge. I don't really want to put in at the bridge and go all the way down, cuz...well...that's a long paddle back.
Does anyone know of a spot I can slide in halfway or so down? Everything at Huckleberry is blocked and posted. I used to know a guy with a pig farm he let me cross but he's gone.
Any ideas would be great!
Thanks!

Re: Illinois Bayou
Hiya,
From what I know, there are no public access points between the highway 7 bridge and the boat ramp at pleasant view park. Maybe someone else knows a landowner who'd let you cross a fence.
Best, ty
