Kayak Trailer for Sale - Reduced

Post by KsKayaker » Sun Jul 27, 2014 1:44 am

Fully adjustable kayak trailer made with three cross bars to accomodate multiple kayaks of different lengths. Saddles can be removed so whitewater kayaks can be stacked. Axle assembly can be moved forward and aft on the main beam. Each cross bar can be moved forward and aft. Comes with saddles for two sea kayaks or recreational kayaks and two stackers for whitewater kayaks. Can be used to haul short kayaks on one side and longer kayaks on the other side. Saddles can be removed and whitewater kayaks can be stacked. 1 7/8 inch coupler. 12 inch tires. Mostly used behind a 1300 cc car. Deal includes Yakama racks for my old van with drip rail towers. Trailer could use a paint job and if used without the saddles, it will need foam to cover the cross bars and vertical stackers. $900. Chris 316-371-4040.

Hello! couple of questions. First do I understand you to say that this trailer will hold four Kayaks in total? Is there any sort of floor or storage area. What kind of shape are the tires in? If you could fill me in I would appreciate it. Thanks

Lisa:

You and stack two kayaks on edge on each side using the stackers in the middle. Stackers are the two vertical poles. This works well with ww kayaks. If you have longer recreational kayaks or sea kayaks, you could first secure one kayak on each side in the upright position and then strap one more kayak top of each of the first two and secure them. I have hauled as many as eight kayaks for a shuttle.

When using my little 1300 cc car as a two vehicle, I chose not to haul more than 3 kayaks loaded with camping and paddling gear down the highway.

The first boat on each side needs two nine foot straps. The second boat on each side will need two 12 foot straps. There are tie points at the front and rear of the trailer to secure safety lines to the bow and stern of each boat.

I hope this has been helpful.

Cheers.
