Anybody have the details on this putin referenced on the AW rivers page? I noticed there is a road that comes off on HWY 16 on the south east end of the bridge and it looks to be in pretty good conditions. As of last weekend there was a gate on it that looked to have been mostly torn down. The riverbank is a long way from the gate across the field so not sure of the public easement and if it's permissible to drag or drive over that road.
We were looking for a shorter float to take our 3 year old on while we were in Fayetteville over the weekend and from the Hwy 16 bridge to the whitewater park is about perfect at 2.5-3 miles.
Thanks in advance.

I've put in at that bridge before, on the west side. But it's steep and there's hardly any room to park. I'd suggest putting in at the park and floating down to the campground/ canoe rental place at Hwy 59. It's also a short float.
