Here's another treat for the summer...releases from the Narrows Dam near Murfreesboro, AR on the Little Missouri. Unfortunately these releases are only weekday releases (boo). But they are releasing tomorrow (Friday 5/23) for anyone wanting an early start to the weekend!
You can check the schedule by downloading it from this site here:
https://www.swepco.com/info/recreation/
Note the schedule is a bit funky to read. 1 generator = 8, so if it says "24" that means 3 generators (generally, that's what you want).
Also, the schedule reads "the hour ending" which is rather confusing. Translation: if it says 24 at Friday at 1500 hours, that means it will START generating at 2pm. You might think it means it's starting at 3pm (thinking that 1500 translates to 3pm, but the hour that ends at 3pm is 2pm. Like I said, very confusing, but trust me this is how you read it.
Finally, they aren't always great about posting the schedule in a timely fashion, so you just need to keep checking back to see if the latest schedule has been added.
3 generators creates a fun low class II run with a couple fun surf spots along the way. The best surfing is if you move down river as the river rises, so it's best to be there ready to move down the river as they sound the horns and open the gates. Beware that there's not much of an eddy at the take out bridge, so it's a good idea to send your strongest boaters to the takeout first to then help pull others in!

I've heard that into every life a little of it must fall,
but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.
