FS Old Town SOT $250 w/paddle

Post by hilbili » Sun May 11, 2014 11:16 am

This boat was purchased about 10 years ago maybe less. Old Town sport H2YO. Has a "Turtle Hull" semi dry compartment with a rubber lid that straps onto the back.

Where are you located? My wife was just telling me that she wants a ride on. Does it have much of a keel, or is it more or less flat? About how long is the boat?

Sorry, but it looks like the wife wants me to try to find her a shorter SOT. She paddled one the same length tuesday.

anything shorter will probably be a whitewater boat. perception Torrent or the new fluid.

Jeff, I'm going to point this out to a friend who's thinking about adding a SOT to her fleet. She may have no interest, but if she wants it I can take it to her at Rec School in two weeks if you'd like.
You come too.

Looking for something a little shorter. Mostly a river runner. Thanks though! In case I change my mind how much does it weigh?

I am definitely interested. Can you run the Spring River in it? I live on a large pond & know it would be good for that. What about some lower level rivers (Like Spring)?

I took it from ponca to kyles, and on the longpool to 164 bridges run on the piney, also made several trips on the caddo.
something I learned recently was the importance of selecting the proper length paddle. It would work well on the spring river. I must say I've only canoed on the spring.

the mulberry would be ok at lower levels like 2.2 and down.

I'll talk to Luke. Would like to look at it at the Spring River. You probably have it sold!
