Tom Kennon's Neurosurgery

Post by Larry Pearce » Mon Apr 07, 2014 4:41 pm

Tom Kennon is in the ICU at St. Vincent's in Little Rock after undergoing surgery today for a meningioma (a tumor of the tissues that cover the brain). He is doing well. As a matter of fact, he just called me on his cell phone to let me know that I could post this information on the ACC Message Board. He is expected to be in the ICU for one or two days before being transferred to a regular hospital bed at St. Vincent's. He probably would be able to receive visitors by Wednesday. I will post again if that information changes. The expectation is that, after he completes his stay in the hospital, he will be transferred to a rehab facility to complete his recovery.

Tom - looking forward to your getting well, running shuttle with you, for a gravel bar campout on the Buffalo with many of your cheering section from the Arkansas Canoe Club. Might have to do more than one float as I'm not sure the NPS wants that many people at a campsite. Let us know when you are ready to go.
