Lower Richland Trip Report 3-18

Post by Inverted » Tue Mar 18, 2014 10:06 pm

An excellent day of paddling was experienced by 5 of us lucky folks today. The weather (70 degrees and sunny) cooperated, and the river, at 3.5', was at a perfect level. I've run it numerous times over the past many years at different levels, but this level was just outstanding. Several big drops, tall wave trains and numerous technical rapids. Not to mention a couple of amazing, huge waterfalls that appeared to be over 100' in height. Thanks to Chicago Bob, Boston Rick, Hillbilly Jeff and Tami for all meeting up today to paddle. Rain, rain, rain! I'm ready to go again! If you haven't run lower Richland, or just haven't run it lately, it's definitely worth considering.

Hey Mike it's good to know some other Class 10 boaters. On a more relevant note I have acquired some additional straps that are from a paddling shop that I have never been to. I would be able to get them to you if you'll be at Whitewater School. If not let me know how best to return them. BOB
