I had hoped with the announcement that " The Waves are Open" meant the end of getting skunked at the Ford. But I guess not. I suppose the waves are technically open,but to avoid a class 5 dump truck dodge on the way up or down, I brought my boat and disappoint back home. I did get to watch a Bald Eagle in a tree right over the road to the put in though. So not a bad drive.-M-

Hay Mike, so you didn't get to play because of work on or near the waves? I was thinking about going out there tomorrow or Friday.

Jerry- They were working on the river right wing dam. They were working those 2 big machines they had parked Sunday. And they were running the big dump truck in the river to provide fill. Didn't want to piss anyone off, so boogied. Who knows, tomorrow they could be pouring concrete and it be no problem. I guess until they are really- really-really done, it's still hit or miss.-M-

I am going out today to look,
I will report back, but the schedule
was to be out of the river by Friday....

I was out yesterday, Friday.
The stone work in the river is done.
They were grouting the stones and preparing to clean up
the area in the river.
I would not go today as they should be finishing up and will
be all over the river with the equipment.
They should be removing the coffer dams and getting out
of the river completely today. This will open the river for us
from now on.
The access rules remain the same until further notice.
I took pics of the new work and will post asap.......
