Any interest ??? Hendrix pool in Conway.

Not stupid!! It's not really a class that's just what it's always been called. It where peeps go to the pool to paddle, get help with rolling , strokes and what not.

Ok heard back from Bri yesterday!! She said they would love to have kayaks in there pool!!! They don't have any time available this year due to schedule being made in August. So we are going to wait till next year to do this. Bri and I will meet in August and see if we can get a day and time that will be diff. From the ular pool time!!! It's coming just have to wait a bit. They were overly excited about this so hopefully slalom gate will be no problem!!!!

I'd be very interested. Even if there is a small cost, I'd be balancing that against the cost of driving to Little Rock for "free" pool sessions. Driving ain't cheap. A discount for those who spend a lot of time helping others instead of just practicing themselves would also be much appreciated!

I think I would be more likely to use something closer to home. Plus, I may be able to get some UCA students there as well.

I would go to Hendrix from time to time and be more inclined to go on specific dates when I know help was needed. I do not check board all that much but ping me through alternative communication channels if help is needed.

If you have not been to the pool, it is an awesome facility and would imagine parking would be pretty convenient.

That's funny this thread came back up. I was logging on to look for it and give a update. I talked to Bri at the pool last Friday and am sorry to inform that it is a no go. They don't have any time free for us but we will try again next year!! The only time that could have possibly been for is was 8:45 to 9:30 on weeknights. That's to late for most folks and she said it would be hard to get a lifeguard anyway. If anyone has any connections to any other pool in Conway maybe we could work something out with them!

Tell them we don't mind no lifeguard.... I know their insurance does but we don't.

Does UCA have an indoor pool??

Yes but they were not very nice or open minded when I asked them...... It was like...... You want to put what in our pool.. A kayak...... Ugh no!!!! But if someone wants to contact them again , please do!
