FS: Dagger Blackwater 10.5
FS: Dagger Blackwater 10.5
As the title states, I am selling my Dagger Blackwater 10.5. I bought this off this forum from Crane at the end of last season. I have only used it a hand full of times. Minor scrapes on bottom from use but otherwise in perfect condition. I have mounted a Railblaza star port on the deck that can hold an assortment of attachments such as a fishing rod holder or phone/gps holder. These can be purchased from a local Academy sporting goods. Asking what I paid. $425 OBO. Can text or email pics.

It's a good boat... Someone who wants a rec boat should pick this one up!

I'm looking for a beginner rec boat for my son who's turning 18. He's 5'9" and 120 lbs. Good boat for him? For me? I'm a 6'1" advanced paddler and have a pair of good beginner boats.

Lee,
We still have a Blackwater, like this one, that Marlo used to paddle, it's a good boat and is still the one Marlo likes best when fishing. All the boats Chris mentioned on your other post are what I would recommend thinking about, as well as the Blackwater.
Best Regards
Jim

I am completely new to the world of kayaks so I am no expert by any means. But from my personal experience with this boat I can honestly say it is a good bigginer/intermediate boat. With the drop down skeg it is easy to paddle in a straight line across flat water. Even with the skeg up it is easy to keep in a straight line, just slightly more effort. From everything I have read, it can also handle up to class II water. I have installed a Railblaza star port on the deck I the boat. You can use many different accessories with the port such as a rod holder or phone holder or a light which are available online or Academy Sports store.
