I'm looking for an 'old' canoe just to grab cheap. I just need something I can throw on top of the Jeep so I can hit a lake or backwater close by and drown a minnow or 2. Not too long or not too short, just an average 2 seater. Flat stern would be great but beggers can't be choosers.
Brand, color, condition are not all that important...so long as it floats... Aluminum or fiberglass, either way.
I'm in Russellville, so anything too far make make it not worth it. I was looking around and ran across this board and everyone sounded pretty cool so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm the guy that takes 2 days to float from Treat to Longpool so I'm all about just hangin back and don't need anything fancy.
Any help would be great!!
Thanks!

Re: WTB 'Old' Canoe
I have one available but it's in Atlanta. It's a 16' Mohawk that was painted by the previous owner. I've paddled it several times and it's a fine craft. I'm working in Overland Park, KS and have been toying with bringing it out here or selling it. I'd rather do the latter but the canoe buying market has dried up in the ATL for a couple months.
I don't mind putting it on the truck the next time I drive home and delivering it. The next time I go home will likely be in 2 weeks. I'm asking $350 for it.

I know the thought of buying a boat without seeing it is obtuse, but I own a guide service and I'm not about to lead someone astray and risk bad social media discussions. Just throwing it out there for ya, no hard feelings if you don't want it!

ATLANTA! WOW! That's a long ride. I like the boat, but I was really lookin for even a lesser one than that. Like $100 bucks because the wife says she wants it out of the yard kind of thing. I would never ask you to drive it from GA for that, I'd feel horrible. Sure the 'canoe market' (I love it!) in ATL will pick up shortly.
Thanks

Since fishineasy is not interested, I've sent you an e-mail with contact info for a friend of mine that I think wants the boat. I found your business address on the web, so if the e-mail doesn't come through, then let me know and I'll try again.

I have an aluminum square stern I am willing to let go. I live in Fort Smith.
