Saw a video of someone's run earlier today and am curious, where is Snow Creek? How long is the run? What's it like at normal flow (video looked like a higher than normal flow).

Thanks!

Takeout for Snow Creek run on the Illinois Bayou is the second bridge on Hwy. 27 north of Hector. Put-in is accessed by going "north" on the USFS road that runs on the west side of the stream. Travel about 2-3 miles till you come to a large primitive campsite on your right. Snow Creek flows into the Bayou at this site and is your put-in. Run is about 2-3 miles in length.

Need to be careful at the second rapid down from the putin which turns to the left and then straightens out. Large tree protrudes out from river left bank to about ten feet off right bank. Need good boat control to sneak by this.

After real big events, it's always a good idea to enter this rapid and one more down a bit that sets up the same since they are known to catch wood.
