Thanks Sig! The powers that be need to see that the river running community notices and cares, and being vocal and involved is how we show them that's the case. Other recreational users have just as much right to be there as we do, but our usage is low impact and low (no?) maintenance. I also suspect we remove the lion's share of the trash as we make our way down river.

Good! Thanks Dave. That's the best way to get the word out. I also plan to put something in the upcoming Paddler. Also, this is very handy for those of us who don't have half a day to burn reading the entire document. It's buried in the Pnet thread, but here it is again. http://www.riverhillstraveler.com/DGMP/ ... ntable.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

More money flowing in Shannon County, Missouri than water.
The surrounding counties couldn't be so lucky to have a federally desgnated park pumping all the money into the economy. When I get hard up for funds, I call up some of by buddies in Shannon County. They have piles of cash from all the tourists dropping jack everywhere. They aren't even the greedy resort, restaurant, industry, convention center, or hotel owners, they only work for the owners in the high-paying jobs created by the tourism business.
