Found POV cam Richland (resolved)
Was hiking Richland yesterday with my oldest boy and found a headcam half-buried in the sand at the bottom of the ledges below Lower Screw Up. Might have been there a few years. Not sure it's still working, but the memory might be intact. Describe it and the mount type and I'll see that it gets back to you.
Re: Found POV cam below Lower ScrewUp Richland
Have you pulled the memory card? You should definitely do that if you don't get a response in a timely manner. Those cards can survive in some ugly situations.

Camera appears to have been ripped from the stern of a kayak by a collision with another kayak in Cindy's Hole on Monday, January 12, 2009. Camera is probably toast (wet toast), but memory card had two files on it. Fun to watch!

Camera, case, and card heading your way. And I reserve the right to watch all the video and tell my kids, "Don't run it THAT way!"
Re: Found POV cam below Lower ScrewUp Richland
Could you upload the video so we all could see how not to run that rapid?

Re: Found POV cam below Lower ScrewUp Richland
Well, the January 12, 2009 run appears to be a lower level, and access to the Roadblock undercut APPEARS to be blocked by some rocks that are exposed at that level. So I don't think it's as exciting as it may be at the level Randy Jackson ran it and had his close encounter. But since I haven't run it since 1995, I may be talking through my hat. And I'll let the owner of the video upload it.
Certainly the abrupt switch of the camera view of happy paddlers at Cindy's Hole, to the pebbles on the bottom (for FOUR YEARS!) is interesting and a bit disturbing at the same time.
Knucklebuster's probably the best rapid on the video IMHO.

Thanks a million twindad - got the pov in the mail and low and behold it still works except for the sound
as for the running of the rapid my line was fine it was cindys hole but marc becker came in hot behind me his bow landed directly on the camera I had thought it broke but after inspection the screw came off marc just helped it along
I have no plans to upload the whole clip as it is very long and that would b time consuming and way too much FAT to watch I am however gonna use some of the footy in a clip I will post soon if your on facebook join arkansaswhitewater coalition

Re: Found POV cam below Lower ScrewUp Richland
Wanted to up an old, minor misunderstanding: my comment about "not running it that way" referred to my wish to see someone running Roadblock on video, NOT the way Waterhog ran Cindy's hole. I was hoping the salvaged footage contained a good look at Roadblock. If anyone has footage from the upstream side, please post! Thanks.
