Eleven Point

Post by Deuce » Thu Oct 10, 2013 1:51 pm

This is buried in the Current River thread I believe, but I thought I'd post it in case someone wants to go on this little bonus expedition but can't do the rest of the trip. Weather permitting Paul Smith (Jetlab) and I will float the Eleven Point this Saturday and Sunday. I think the plan is to run from Cane Bluff to Riverton and camp below Greer Spring. We will fish all the way down provided Paul isn't busy fishing me out of the river. I've never done the EP but he promised to show me the lines. :poke2: I'll leave town Saturday morning around 5:00 and meet Paul who will have arrived Friday and will be waiting on me. I'm staying in Missori until Wednesday, but he plans to come back Sunday after we get off the river, so if you're interested but can't be gone five days this might be just the ticket. You might even be able to hitch a ride there and back. I'm kinda speaking for Paul when I say that, but I doubt he minds.
You come too.

Is the Eleven Point open? It is within the Mark Twain NF. It may be shut down. I would suggest checking with an outfitter up there before you go.

Eleven Poin is open for bidness. Current is too for that matter provided one can find a place to launch. Authorities have confirmed that floaters will be left alone on both rivers, but unlike the Current the EP accesses are still officially open, just no amenities.
You come too.
