I was wanting to try some cold weather kayaking this year and was wondering what everybody suggest clothing wise what to layer and how many layers and for what temperatures do you usually wear it.

Question: What type of paddling are you talking about? Whitewater and flat water call for different types of protection in terms of dollars paid.

Will be mostly flat water working on strokes stamina and comfort in the boat also rock port but would like to move to some river running maybe in early spring and probably mostly be floating the mulberry

I myself have a few sets of poly with diffent weiths under my dry top. Light,med and heavy it all depends how cold it is. You can all ways go heavy and then shed it as you warm up.
