Seven (now four) kayaks and gear

Selling the first fleet of boats I used in my class at OBU. Proceeds from sale will go toward buying some SOTs for the Outdoor Rec program. Pics coming below.

Two Eskimo Kendos, one yellow, one blue. Yellow one has some hull damage I repaired with Kevlar and fiberglass (Thanks Max Wellhouse, for that lesson years ago. I still use the knowledge.) Great river runners for small to medium paddlers. These come with flotation.

Two Eskimo Diablos, both yellow. For larger paddlers than the Kendos. Would make good river runners and decent creek boats. Displacement hulls. These come with flotation

One Eskimo Quadro. One Eskimo Zwo. These were designed to be play boats. Zwo is very slicy. Quadro more user friendly. These come with stern flotation.

One Perception Overflow X. For the big paddlers. Not sure on flotation on this one.

Boats are $225, except for the repaired Kendo: $175.

Six Eskimo skirts, 2 small, 2 med, 2 large. Cockpit sized to fit the Eskimo boats. $25 each.
Sold: Two skirts sized for the Overflow X. One Large, one XL. XL is nice Kilt. $25 for the large $35 for Kilt.

Six Pro Tec helmets: 2 small, 2 med, 2 large. $10 each 1 large is sold.

Sold: One set of Jackson Happy Feet. Used once or twice. Nice for the Zwo or Quadro. $25

Oh, I forgot about nylon skirts. I bought some nylon ones to use in the pool. So have six of these, I think. Too small for rec boats but would work as pool skirts for boats with large (probably not for XL) cockpits. $10 each. Bungy cord adjustable and adjustable at waist. Have a shoulder strap to keep up.

All these boats were used for my classes, starting in winter, 2001. Mostly pool or flat water. Averaged 5-6 river trips per year, so the boats are in great shape. Older styles and outfitting but the plastic is rock solid.

The Diablos will handle 200 lbs, maybe more. I'll see if I can find the original paper work on these boats. May it has recommended weight ranges. How BIG you looking for?

I'm not a fat man, I'm just the same size as Mr. Eubanks, tall, lanky, and kind of 'wormy'
I'm very glad to get this boat, it will make three Overflow Xs in my fleet now! My older two are getting a bit 'long in the tooth'.

Jim, you might like the Diablo as well or better. Plenty of leg and foot room with less overall volume. Will be much faster than the Overflow X. Overflow has more rocker than the Diablo. You can try the Diablo at Rendezvous if you have any interest. I've used it as a creeker (my first and only day on Crooked Creek--upper upper Little MO).

Jim , I was Just checking to if byron had any old boats i Might fit..rpm max ect..big man long boat ect.. Im not real sure if any long boats were made for big guys, Any suggestions on what to be looking for ???

Just poking fun, as always The Diablo that Byron mentioned does sound interesting, if he brings one to the Vous, maybe we can both give it at try for fit. I have tried a number of newer boats on for fit over the years and even after adjusting the seats back as far as they'd go, and the foot braces as far forward, it was still a no-go for foot space.
The overflows that I have have been the ticket for me on that account, however I've had to actually 'adapt' the seats to travel back another inch or so more than Perception had probably envisioned... I also cut out a half-moon piece of the bottom of the front bulkhead to allow my heels to come together, to gain just enough space to allow for my TEVA Alps.
I know the Overflow X was rated for #285 lbs., and many other boats are rated for as much or more, so the weight isn't as big a factor for me as height, and long feet has been. A few years ago, I really was interested in a couple of newer, shorter creek/river-runner type boats, but just couldn't get in them unless barefooted. After starting my kayaking career in an old Prijon styled homemade boat, the volume and stability of the Overflows have saved my bacon on several occasions when I pulled a goober move and wound up in a hole See you all at the Vous!

RE foot room, one nice thing about the Eskimo boats is that the plastic is very strong, so they don't have center foam pillars. Nice thick bulkhead for the feet, too. Adjustment is like the Overflow: side rails that require moving rail for holes and bolts.
