The Buffalo all to myself

Post by Chicago Bob » Thu Aug 15, 2013 11:07 am

I paddled from Pruitt to Woolum on Wednesday afternoon (26 miles). The first other boat I ran into was just above my Woolum take-out. 80 degree weather, high water, and nobody on the river. Go figure. BOB

This section of river is considered the the transition between the Upper and Middle Buffalo. There are no rapids of any consequence, but expect some fast wavy shoals. Because of the length of the trip this section is one of the least paddled along the river. The scenery on the Buffalo is spectacular along the entire river corridor. This section is home too both The Narrows and Skull Bluff both are unique Buffalo landmarks. Check out the National Park web site at http://www.nps.gov/buff" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Feel free to contact me if you need more Information. BOB
