(hope I didn't Jinx it). Post if you want to gamble with us that it will be there, and can help set the shuttle.

Will it be a magical day on Richland, a tease, a washout, or another chapter in the Paddlers guide to Hiking Richland Creek? Stay tuned!

Richland is almost always a one run affair (of course, unless you're Cowper and decide to run 12 laps in a single day).

6ft is also a bit high if it'll be your first time down.

It should hold for tomorrow and I bet there'll be lots of folks there tomorrow, too (including me if it holds!)

Cheers
I've heard that into every life a little of it must fall,
but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.

I'm not sure if I can get away tomorrow. Anyway, it's just water and rocks right.

Re: ARG to Richland? In August? Seriously? UPDATE - PFD foun

Post by davidbob » Sun Aug 11, 2013 6:50 pm

ARG picked a well used red Lotus PFD that was lying on the ground at the campground bridge yesterday afternoon, just before we headed out for home (LR). It obviously belongs to a kayaker (don't ask - we could just tell).

When we got home its was raining cats and dogs, so Cap'n Downstream and I left our gear/rafts in/on the ARG shuttle rig last night. When we unloaded this afternoon, as soon as I opened up the back hatch I said "We've been hanging around kayakers too long - we're starting to smell like them."

Then I remembered the red, worn, Lotus PFD we picked up.

Anyway, if you are looking for a PFD left at the campground bridge after yesterday's run on upper Richland let me know.

Let us know. (in the meantime, it's defumigating at the official ARG storage complex/Group Therapy Room in LR).

P.S. The PFD has a red band fastened around one of the shoulder straps. Looked like a river permit. Name the river and it's yours.
