Hometown Throwdown at Dierks Tomorrow

Post by Jeremy M » Fri Jun 21, 2013 5:35 pm

Saturday June 22, 2013

10:00a.m. to help string up slalom gates. Please bring ropes and anything you think might be helpful.

12:00 p.m. 350 CFS will be released from the dam until 4:00 p.m. for the race

12:30 p.m. Official Race Start

Camping has been reserved by Tom Trigg. Please pay the fees and shop local in Dierks if possible. (Some supplies are limited so if you're camping bring some personal toilet items. ie TP)

Also if you're a twitter or instagram user, please hashtag your posts with #dierkslake #corpofengineers This goes a long way to future releases as well

See you all tomorrow!

Racing will be head to head in different boat classes...Long, short, open, men's, women's, and juniors as needed by particpants.

Please bring some spectators! The more that show, the more future recreational releases will be possible!!!!

I will be there along with Liz. Due to the long drive, and the fact that we can't leave until tomorrow morning, I don't think we will be much help with the set up.

Never raced or tried a slalom course, but I can't wait. I will be in a solo open boat and will be glad to jump in another boat if someone needs a tandem partner.

Hate that I missed it. Was all set to take the kids as spectators and had a last minute change of plans. Thanks for organizing it Jeremy. If you have the info on who to thank at Dierks I'dl ove to write them, and encourage every one else to as well. It would be nice to have the releases at Dierks planned. Post the info if you can.
