Expect someone to call 911 on you.
Was out on my SUP at two rivers park(little Maumelle creek), practicing eddy turns and stuff. Someone on the freeway called 911 that a "kayaker" had fallen in the water and didn't resurface. Probably fell off my board twice. I can see how someone could misconstrue what actually happened, into something more sinister.
Just be prepared for the aftermath though. Had two fire trucks, an ambulance, and two Little Rock cops roll in on me while putting the board on the truck. The fire and ems people were cool, but I had to preform a breathalyzer test and get my Driver's license ran by the 5-0's.(guess they thought you had to be drunk to be in slack water).
All for people be on a heightened sense of alert when it comes to people on the water. But the cops shouldn't be harassing someone that has all the gear for being on the water.
Second time in less then a week I've had to deal with police, while being on the Arkansas river.
Just be prepared for law enforcement to give you a hard time if your on the water in/on a boat without a motor!

Re: FYI for people floating the Ark in Little Rock...
Kind of makes me wish I could do Flatwater loops, or about 20 points worth of flatwater cartwheels. That would really confuse them. Heck maybe I should roll out the RPM and do some old school stern squirts on the eddylines.
(Note: I will not actually do these things, 'cause I'd hate to spend my tax money that way, and the police and rescue guys might be really needed somewhere else.)
This makes me wonder - so if you had blown 0.02, or even 0.08, then what? Not driving a car or power boat, could they have made a case for drunk and public nuisance on the grounds someone else made an unnecessary 911 call???
