Sounds like a plan. I'm sure we in central Arkansas can find you a couch to crash on and some yummy brew from Vino's if'n when you make it down this way this summer.

Another decent video from this year, with lots of footage of Octanes (85, 91, 92).

I don't know how to post the link but go to paddlepointers.com and top left on their menu is a great 9 or 10 minute video of last year thats very informative and shows some of the runs in the area.

Two years ago I met up with this interesting gaggle for the Tellico race. Sitting at Baby Falls was absolutely hilarious. A few people had clean lines. Most didn't. Everybody was having fun. They get it when it comes to paddling...have fun.

I am slowly resurrecting my old Ocoee, my purple one from back in the 90's, partly for this event next year. The hole in the stern has been ground out, filled with putty and covered with kevlar felt. The air bag lacing was replaced tonight.

Later this week I am going to rework the outfitting. The pedestal is at 12". My C1's are only at ~3.5". I'll be lowering the Ocoee pedestal to around 6" to start and see where it goes from there. Depending on how much I paddle the boat, I have some other outfitting ideas borrowed from my experience in slalom as well.

Regardless, if I can make it next year, I will make the haul over to the other side of the hill to the Tellico with a 20 year old purple Ocoee. I may break it again, but it is guaranteed to be fun and fortunately I can fix most boats in time for the next year.
