Hit the button to soon. Anyway, I plan on jogging down to the wave tomorrow. AW says its at 31st and riverside, but on the west side of the river. Which bridge should I cross come from downtown to get on the west side and is there a trail or something safe to jog on that side? Any of you OK boaters gonna be playing there tomorrow?

As you jog down river on riverside drive to 31st and riverside just before you get to the big parking lot across riverside from the riverside access ramp to the river you will see a big bridge structure that will get you across the river to the west bank. Continue on down river west bank maybe 100 yards on the west bank running trail and you will be at the PSO viewing area and path down to the rivers edge to where the play wave used to be. some years ago a flood washed out parts of the retaining levee that created the play spot and in spite of several efforts we made (financed by PSO as part of their community service effort) we have not been able to recreate the wave. There may be some minor fun spots but nothing like it used to be. In the day, would be someone on the original tulsa wave every time it ran.

I am going to be out of pocket this weekend or I would meet you there.

Taking a jog down Riverside from the down town hotels is a very relaxing way to spend the after noon. Upstream at maybe a half or so mile before you get to the PSO play spot (located on the river bank) is the blue moon cafe. Bring some cash and it is a great place to get a drink and sandwich on your way back to down town. :beer2:
