Looking forward to the finished video!

Looks like you guys had a great time on a classic run in a "classic" bucket boat.

Is that a surplus forest service raft?

If it is, good job bringing it back to life as a private boater.

What a hoot!

Only one question from an old canoeist who has never been in a raft... would longer paddles have helped the bowmen? I look foreward to the finished video!

I worked for the U. S. Fish and Wildlife as a fish biologist raft shocking some whitewater canyons out in Utah for a few years. I made good friends with the gear guy and he gave me tons of stuff. This particular raft hadn't been used in years, and has "junker 1" written in various places all over it. It is an old Campways (Riken) Meewok, about 13' 9" and yes, a classic bucket boat :). I also have a rowing frame and oars for it. The reason it was junked was because one of the baffles was blown, so instead of a 4-chamber, its a 3-chamber. While I was there, I acquired a self bailing floor from a newer Riken River Runner that got popped by a guest with a temper at one of the guide services. We cut the boat into pieces to keep for an AMPLE amount of patch material, and unlaced the floor. I plan on putting the floor in this summer once I can afford a big 'ole tub of Clifton Hypalon Glue, and a hefty grommet gun! Any help or tips are appreciated haha

Seth, the level was 5.3.
