The Arkansas River Canoe and kayak Race will be June 1 st this year .
Come paddle the beautiful Arkansas River from Murray Park in Little Rock down to the I-30 bridge. Its your chance to paddle the river safely with safety boats watching over you.
Come see some of the fastest paddlers in the U.S. and some of the slowest .
Canoe`s , Kayak`s and Stand up Paddle boards should be a fun day!!

Yes from Murray Park to The I 30 bridge , its 5.5 miles

I was considering boating in it but was asked to work overnight tonight. Y'all have fun and stay safe!

I had to move the race to Little Maumelle at the last minute.
Even with storms moving in on us we had 47 boats in the race with several of the top paddlers in the world there!!
The OKC group brought 16 paddlers and promised to bring more next year.
I would hope that the Arkansas paddlers would support the race more and see it grow.

Any way the organizers can coordinate with the ACC and not schedule it the same weekend as Rec School? I believe that happened last year too.
