Hometown creeking video
I know it's not the thrill of the Tot or Richland, but Gulpha creek is still a fun one. Especially since its practically 8 miles from my house. It also runs when others aren't. When I posted my first Gulpha video, I did not have footage of all the drops and rapids. Some had asked me if I had more footage. Well this video is from 4/4/13 and has all the rapids as well as a run down the East branch of Gulpha. The East branch footage has a big water droplet halfway through so I apologize for that. The level was 4.4 and 26 cfs. It held that level most of the day.

Thanks! I enjoyed it! But I must make a confession. I watched it muted while James Taylor and Yo Yo Ma played "Hard times come again no more", one of Stephen Foster's songs. It was either that or JT and Mark O'Connor "Copperline".

I understand! Not my first song choice for the video, but it had a copyright issue at first. So I threw that one in there to make it work.

It's cool! I'm just an old Codger and like different music. Oh, and you are forgiven for the water droplets. I hate ducking under trees in a strong current myself. I've been left holding the log before while my bowman and canoe continued downstream!
Thanks for taking us along! I've never paddled that one but in places it reminded me of some of the upper forks of the Saline in high water.

It is a fun creek to boat! I love Gulpha! Maybe it will run tomorrow!

Nice vid, thanks for sharing!
BTW... regarding music in videos, Vimeo has made it super easy to get a license for music and not have any legal problems. No sense in stealing someones music without permission.
If you check out their "music store" (https://vimeo.com/musicstore) you can find lots of different music and purchase a license. Some is free but with a Creative Commons license while others are $1.99 with a personal use license.
