I know the woman who is the primary interviewer. She does good work. Nope, she is not an "expert" on hydrology or ecology or econonics or agriculture or sociology or infectious diseases.. but she will be a source for information other than this thread.

That is a little bit more acceptable of a position and stance for me to stomach. Not quite as extreme, but still holding some past memories as part of your/the driving force.

That is legit though I think. Can't fault your driving force or part of it even though times have changed and so has ag. Nobody is perfect and mistakes of all sorts human, mechanical and so on are possibilities even if very unlikely.

I am glad everyone is fired up too, and hope it continues and transforms into more active stewardship from now on and well beyond the buffalo, and not just a bandwagon "thing to do" and that's it. For most in this club and forum that's prob not likely, but for many others it likely is.

Just wanted to present the other side a little bit and offer up some missing viewpoints into the avalanche of one sidedness.

Thanks Debo for all of your efforts, even if we disagree on some of the best approaches on this topic.

Ok article (and good the information is spreading) but some serious typos in it. Five miles from a tributary of Big Creek?

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality issued a permit to C&H Hog Farm last August to operate a 670-acre farm with two barns able to hold 6,503 head of swine about five miles from a tributary of Big Creek near Mount Judea.

I've alway struggled with how a person was appointed, elected...whatever to a "Board of Trustees". I suppose it's the root word, "trust" & the cast of characters so frequently appointed to such lofty positions. At any rate, it is good to hear the Dept of Interior speaking out in opposition and offering more information. I'm sorry, but the combination of pigs and rivers has me thinking of a certain movie that came out many years ago. Let's just hope it's not the Buffalo & those of us who so love it that play Ned Beatty's role. Thank you for your post.

Thanks! Wow, it does look like they may have given the EA to an intern to fill out, if the NPS critique is spot on. I would think this would be enough to cause an injunction for full review at a higher level. And this was a Cargill backed project?
