No but I've paddled it from Arkansas highway 9 to highway 5 at high water, and from there down to smiths Ford road. These sections consist of small short shoals with flat water in betweenIf you planning an exploratory trip keep me in the loop as I'm always interested in new runs. Keep in mind that this area was hard hit during the Christmas storms and may have its share of deadfall. I've also had my eye on the Middle Fork from Highway 7 north of Jessiville down to Ziegler Road. BOB

There was a thread on here last year about it. You might try and find it to get more info.

Hey Randy the run beiow the spillway can be class 4 in higher flows and is jagged shale bedrock for a quarter runout: down to the low water bridge on the 24000 road is mostly class 2+ with a couple
le of nice rock gardens. The run is about 4 miles long. I With z
I'm with Bob could be slot of wood in the creek.

I've never floated Alum, but I've floated that section of the Middle Fork that Bob is talking about. One of our project sites is off of Newkirk Rd. on the Middle Fork Saline. I only went to the Talley Cemetery Bridge at one of the back entrances to Hot Springs Village though. We are about to do a gravel roads survey this fall on the entire Alum Fork watershed. I'll let you know if I see anything good!

thanks everybody. I knew the area right below the spillway looked like it would be III+ to IV if it had enough water.
If there's 4 miles of class II+ below that it might be worth checking out. although Lake Winona would have to be really full.
