UALR pool session Feb 20 & 23

Post by we66erno1 » Tue Feb 19, 2013 9:47 am

The pool is open on Wednesday, but closed on Saturday.

We have two hours on Wednesday, 6-8pm.

Please make sure to clean out your boats

Remember the pool will be closed if there is lightening in the area..........................................................or if there's enough ice on the ground to make travel treachous.

If UALR decides to close down today, I should get an email and a text message from their automated system. I'll pass on any news I get as soon as I get it.

Just got the automated text from UALR. They're cancelling all classes that begin at 4:20 or after. I'm going to assume that means the gym+pool will be closed this evening as well. Dagnabit!

Except that the gym just sent out an email saying that they're still open and will hold classes as scheduled this evening. I'm just going to shut up and stop trying to be helpful.

As of 4:30pm the pool is still open tonight. Please plan accordingly though. The roads are sure to be slick going home afterwards though. Be safe out there!

I was going to come but it's icing a lot at my house now and it seems like it'll drop below freezing soon. Stay safe driving home if you go!

Aly,

No worries, I heard the class cancellation notice on the NPR station as I returned from feeding my ducks at Sunset lake this afternoon. I also came to the same conclusion.

Best Regards
Jim

The Saline Co. contingent represented tonight with four of us rolling playboats and canoes. Roads weren't slick and the pool was basically empty except us.

Mandy got a canoe rolling lesson from Chris and I think she'll get it next time.
