Call for Assistance at Whitewater School

Ok, Lot's of new things going for Canoe School and to make that successful we need your support!

Instructors - Please contact Adam Willard with your details including certification and level, expiration date, CPR and First Aid status. See the top sticky for details. Number of instructors = total number of participants What a great way to contribute back to the club. Not a better feeling than to see that new student snap into the eddy with a big grin!

Assistant Boaters - We need assistants in many of the classes. Please volunteer and contact Adam. Indicate you skill level, who you normally paddle with, rivers you are comfortable with, CPR and First Aid knowledge, boat and gear. We will attempt to match instructors with assistants to complement the class.

Teachers - No not reading, riting & rithmatic! This year there will be supplimental discussions on various aspects of boating. We need volunteers for roll class, throw rope training, river gear, boat types and gear, informational discussions on various rivers, camping gear and tricks, how to run a shuttle, etc. What about a virtual tour of a river? Buffalo, Mulberry, Cossatot, Richland, Ocoee, Green, Tsangpo???? Anyone willing to do a fun class for the kids? How about a yoga session? Since many participants have spouses or friends coming with them let's get everyone involved!

Welcome and Informational Assistants - This year we will have a welcome booth to help newer people find camping areas, their local chapter participants, what class is offered where?, when is the pancake breakfast?, where's the river?, etc. Should allow new and old to meet and encourage each other.

Best of All - If you volunteer you will get a new snazzy shirt! That will help identify someone who is willing to help and donates back to the club! In order for us to get the right sizes we need you to sign up ASAP.

Well since I just got back from Team Stupid's annual Tsangpo trip, I guess I could show some slides or something...

Or maybe just discuss the great Boss Hollow camping trip instead. In any case, I'm coming down from the great flat north again this year and it'll be great to see all my friends at Canoe School!
