MF was floatable I'll bet. I think I saw a 11 ft gage reading this am. 11 is minimal for some fluffy WW it there 13-15 is even better. Thewhitehouse bridge has a a painted gage that reads 1-5 or do and that correlates pretty good with 11-15 on the usgs gage.

So I bet it was there but less than optimal for WW later in the day.

How was hurricane....? I was envious to have maybe missed it. Curious to hear about for sure.

Rob P , Brent m and myself ran Hurricane from the bridge near Dockery Gap to the bridge at Shores lake. 1.5' at the gauge under the put-in bridge. plenty of water but wouldnt want to go much lower. about 2" hit the whole area, and L Mill & Spirits were too low. this run will be even better when L Mill & Spirits are low or good. Looks like about 7 miles, 80'/mile gradient. the top half is the best, plenty of ledges, biggest about 5'. It had been about 2' higher in the night. Pretty open creekbed, had to portage once or twice but got lucky picking the open route a few times. Could be some interesting spots at higher water, plenty of surf waves too. totally remote, no signs of civilization until logging near the end. easy shuttle from Shores South back to Fern and Locke or scenic shuttle over White Rock .

We checked Spirits takeout and it was on the low side, so we didn't drive up to check the gate. It's still an unknown.

Has anyone seen if the the gate at Mineral Hill Road is open to drive to the Spirits Creek putin bridge?

i would add Hurricane should be up when MF White is going since its just over the hill and seemed to correlate pretty well yesterday, lowish but runnable.

I've been collecting data for the Ozark Highlands Trail, and in mid December when I gathered that section the gate was still locked. Haven't been back since then but guess is that it is still closed.
