Rec Boat Options for Sunday?

Post by lalyle » Sat Jan 12, 2013 9:31 pm

With the Rampage and all of my whitewater gear so underused for so long and in disarray, I'm hoping to find some Class II water I can run in my rec boat on Sunday. Everything I've checked is too high. Any ideas?

Traditional Class II is going to be in short supply tomorrow. If you just want to get out, consider the Little Maumelle float starting in Pinnacle Mountain State Park.

Check gages in the morning, some of the stuff will be turning down soon so maybe there will be options by tomorrow afternoon that fit what you're looking for.
Trash: Get a little every time you go!

I'm thinking the same. Little Maumelle might have some fun, swift-flowing flatwater for the first time since the big one that flushed out the houseboats. Anybody know how/where to gage a safe limit on that flow?
