Glad you guys beat the rush, Heather!!! Hope the couple got off safe as well.

Cole and I opted for an early start with Billy Williams Shuttle Services (9:30 putin) to stay ahead of the expected rise. Started raining when we unloaded at the creek and continued almost until we got off. Varying degrees from hard downpours for a while then just random drops and then back to downpours. Rinse and repeat.

Just glad the temps were running 60 degrees for the day. Topped the day off with some bar food at Yesterday's in Morrilton.

Our timing was pretty good - most of the hard rain stopped about when we launched. We still had some showers now and then but didn't ever really boat through anything heavy, and most of the second half of our float was dry. We were definitely riding a bit of a surge down...there wasn't a single pool that we had to paddle through. Water was over the low water bridge when we took out and still visibly rising. Our group had a fun day for sure. Only downside of the rising levels is the final surf ledges were kinda washing out. Hemmed and hawed this morning about going, but sure glad we did!

Oh - not sure if Bob has posted or PM'd anything, but Seth - Bob has your keys!

It was a great day on the river. I was worried on the drive down and shuttle with it raining so hard, but the rain pretty much broke when we got on the river @ 12:30. The level was 4.3 at 9:30, it had risen to over 5.0 when we launched, and it was 6.3 when we got off. Made for a great day of wave trains.

We had 2 open boats (Bob and Chris H), and 5 kayaks (heather, mitch, scott, zack and me).

This was my first float of the year, first float on this river, and first float in my remix. thanks to Heather for organizing and Bob for giving us a tour down the river. Also thanks to mike for running shuttle and loaning me gloves for the day.

You guys were putting on as Cole and I were taking out. Tubes under the bridge were not full yet at that time!

The couple got off the river and walked out with assistance from Billy Williams.

The couple in the black truck had some trouble, I found them just below wher Cove Creek enters the river. the young lady had a swim upstream and wanted, to walk out, so I helped them get out, to the forest service road and took them back, to their truck around 6:30. they were fine and glad,to be off the river.
