dry top vs semi dry top

semi-dry is a bit of a marketing play on words. Semi-dry could just as well be called 'partially wet' 'wet' or 'soaking wet ' depending on how much contact you have with the water.

In 78 we glued our own wetsuits together broke the ice and got wet.Today's dry top is great but I still get wet when swimming.A complet gore tex would be nice,but the mainthing is cold water can kill so stay warm and keep your fire starting material on you and dry.Your boat may be downstream .If you can carry some dry extra liners to.By the way dry suits can get ripped (bring along needle ,thread ) someone should have d tape. Do the best you can and stay warm.You and your paddling buddy will be much more what Happy. P.s. I have seen drysuits for rent ! :myday"
